Works created from British coins, primarily one-penny and five-pence pieces. The coins are individually placed to form portraits, flags and iconic designs, then encapsulated in clear resin. Some pieces use the natural tones of the coins, while others incorporate colour through resin or paint.
A detailed profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, inspired by Jody Clark’s engraving, created entirely from British 1p and ½p coins. Thousands of carefully selected pennies — including at least one from every year of her reign.

Thousands of carefully selected pennies have been individually placed to form the animal’s features and textured skin. Following grouting, the piece was fully encapsulated in epoxy resin to prevent further oxidation and allow effortless cleaning. In total £120 in pennies were used.
